Israel’s military says it has killed two Palestinians in clashes in the West Bank, and a third was wounded.
Israeli forces said in a statement late on Friday that they killed a Palestinian man and wounded a Palestinian woman, and said the Palestinian was shot in the leg.
The Israeli military also said the man, identified by his mother as Mahmoud Ali Abu Khdeir, was wounded by a bullet to the leg, and was in stable condition.
The statement said Abu Khdeser was shot while walking near a village north of Jerusalem.
Palestinian sources and media outlets have reported that at least two Palestinians were killed in the clashes.
Israel’s army has repeatedly denied any involvement in the conflict.
A military spokesman for the Israeli defence ministry, Brigadier-General Benny Gantz, told reporters that two Palestinians had been killed, one in Jerusalem and one in the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian media has reported that Abu Khdhder was wounded in the northern West Bank town of Duma, and that he had been carrying a gun when he was killed.
The military did not say whether Abu Khdemer had been identified by Israeli forces.
Abu Khdhdemer was the father of three children.
The military said in the statement that Abu Keshdder was in his 50s, and his wife was in her 50s.
Israelis say Palestinians are trying to take over the West.
Palestinian officials say more than 200 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli military operations in the past two years.
