NEW YORK — Three people were arrested and charged Tuesday with possession of an illegal controlled substance and one person was charged with possession and sale of drugs, police said.
The arrests occurred in Brooklyn in Queens, police spokesman Paul Browne said.
It wasn’t clear if the arrests were connected to a separate bust in the Bronx.
Authorities said the men were charged with illegal possession of drugs.
The arrests come as the NYPD continues to fight the opioid crisis, which has resulted in the deaths of at least 200 people across the country.
